Growing up in a northern nsw surfing family, sharnee was constantly surrounded by art, music, nature and the beach culture most australians know and love. With a penchant for travel sharnee’s aesthetic is a clashing of influences, rich in texture and bold patterns with a tendency toward ethnic designs and hand painted florals. Sharnee’s design process begins with an entangled mix of pencil drawings, ink lines, photography and painterly textures taking inspiration from her travels, favourite blogs and the world around her. Her career has led her to work and travel abroad both as a full time and freelance textile designer. Melbourne, sydney and la have all played home over the years. Sharnee has collaborated with a number of well established and up and coming australian and international labels, she has developed her own style and aesthetic that people have grown to love which has led her on an unbelievable creative journey.
