Heads up!

Cool stuff to wear on your head.

The turban’s had a makeover and we know you want in.

It’s the latest fashion accessory… umm, actually it’s a 70s-style staple re-imagined but whatevs. Turbans are trendy again.

We have Queensland mumma Simone Taylor to thank for bringing turban back. This Aussie lady had a light-bulb moment (in the shower as you do), wearing an ugly shower cap. No judgement, we’ve all worn one. And just like that (after 12 months of hard work) Louvelle Shower Turbans had everyone wanting the head gear. In and outta the shower. Selena Gomez we’re looking at you and your rollers gurl…

Louvelle has gone global and now the Aussie mum, counts the Kardashians and Heidi Klum among her celebrity fans. Fashion is all about updated retro looks right now and since we’re all prepping for Splendor (Yes! They’ll be errywhere this festival season, check it out...  you need to own one.

Here’s how to wear the trend...

How to turban? Oh, let us count the ways! From buying a pre-made turban (like Louvelle) to wrapping your fave scarf yourself, there are a gazillion looks to try and play around with to add your, er, own twist. Not sure where to start? We’ve done the homework for you.

Not ready to go full turban? Missed out on tickets to Splendor so nowhere to try it? No worries. We've got you covered.

Chunky does it

The chunky knit, slouchy beanie is back (although we’re not sure it ever really left for the skater crew!) But mainstream is listening again this winter and we like it. Ears optional.

Off duty? This simple head-topper is a stylish addition to the humble jeans and coat combo. Or try a bright hue to add a pop of colour to a monochrome outfit. Think Alexa Chung's mate, Pixie Geldof.
