Long Weekend Goals
5 ways to spend your 3 days off...
… and the outfits to match!
Three glorious days of relax and repeat, otherwise known as the October Long Weekend are upon us! Nothing beats a balmy spring long weekend with endless possibilities.
Remember what it felt like to feel the sun on your skin? Or, a victorious pyjamas-only Monday? Whether you’re planning to spend the entire three days catching up on The Handmaiden’s Tale - that’s totally okay (we won’t judge) - heading out of town, enjoying long brunches or kicking up your heels at your fave local, we’ve got the perfect wardrobe combos for all occasions.
There’s nothing quite like brioche French toast with caramelised bananas, drenched in maple syrup on a weekend. Why spend the week waiting for that one Sunday brunch, when you can spend three days brunching (or even, long lunching). You don’t have to be eating out in Paris, but you can be inspired by French croissants when choosing your outfit.
Whether it’s mountain hiking or wine-ing away countryside, a day spent with Mother Nature is sure to satisfy your wellbeing. Not only is it proven that fresh air can actually make you a happier person and decrease stress, but getting outside will make up for all those hours you’ve been stuck in the office saying hello to the outside world from your cubicle window. ‘Nough said.
You, me and the sea is pure textbook How to Long Weekend stuff. Book a weekend away with bae, or simply spend your days lazing at the beach to get your fix of vitamin SEA and D. Pack a picnic and you’re set for sandy toes and fab beach hair for three. Whole. Days.
Netflix and Chill
While some dream of adventure getaways, others dream of all-day pyjamas and non-stop mags and screens. If you’ve been lusting away at the thought of spending three days snuggled in bed or on your couch, with that brilliant series you haven’t seen yet, then you’re our type of person. As for the company? Whether you’re wanting to do it alone (+dog), with your partner-in-crime or make it a girls thang, the same rules apply for everyone: can’t reach it, don’t need it.
The long weekend is ideal if you want to party all night long - with no work the next day, it’s the perfect opportunity to get dressed up for a girl’s night out. Check the interweb for happening events, concerts or bar openings around town or just stick to hanging out at your local, sipping your fave cocktails. Cheers to that.
