Belted bags: how to wear them.

It was once uncool to be seen wearing one. And now? It’s one of the hottest style trends of 2017. We’re talking about the bum bag. Uh-huh honey. The humble bumbag, once reserved for international travellers in the 45+ age group, has undergone a name change - now known as a belt bag - and is all the rage this season.

Wanna now how to wear one? Check out our tips on how to rock the fanny pack and why they’re you’re fave new accessory.

Go rock chick and pair a leather belt bag with distressed denim and a leather jacket for the ultimate cool girl look. Add some killer earrings and you’re ready to go.

Belt bags are a great way of adding a pop of colour to a neutral outfit. Think all white, with bright green or cherry red.

Draw attention to your waist and finish the look with bigger-than-your-face sunnies.

And they don’t just have to be worn around the waist. You can sling ‘em over your shoulder too. Pro tip: this makes it easier to carry if you’re stuffin’ full of stuff (*cough* snacks *cough*)

They are also the perf festival accessory (wish you had yours at Splendour?). Stick in the essentials - phone, cash, hand sanitiser… - and then you’re hands are free so you can dance day and night away.

Straight outta the 90’s, they look ace with mum jeans and sneakers. Make like Kendall Jenner and add a turtleneck to complete the look.

A belt bag will also toughen up a super-feminine dress for an edgy touch. Once daggy, now chic!

Check out our some of our fave belt bag picks and you’ll be addicted in no time.
