Better late than Insta never

Why some celebs aren’t down with the gram.

And how to follow the ones that are.

One of the best things about social media (apart from all the filters on Snapchat) is being able to freely stalk your fave celebs from the comfort of your own home. Nothing like watching the Kardashians living it up while you’re on the train to work.  But what happens when your celeb crush (girl or boy!) isn’t down with social media?! Check out these celebs that stay away from the social media scene.

Emma Stone thinks social media is all a lie. She isn’t on Twitter or Instagram coz she reckons it makes people’s lives seem better than they actually are. She told Elle “When you see people like, 'This is the best life ever! I couldn't be happier,' you're like, 'Shut up, that is not true.'”

The beautiful Scarlett Johansson also has zero interest in getting on board the Insta train. She said she “can’t think of anything I’d rather do less than have to continuously share details of my everyday life.” Devo for us!

Same story with JLaw who says the idea of Twitter is ‘unthinkable’. She says she can’t even keep up with emails, let alone the 24/7 craziness of social media.

Luckily, there are some celebs still taking the plunge and signing up for social media. Yaaaas. Mega-babe Elizabeth Olsen joined Instagram to help her get in character for the role of a social media influencer and now she’s decided to keep on Insta-sharing (see it’s addictive!). She’s got some great content ie, various snaps of her eating! Keeping it real Elizabeth.

She said she also realised it can be a great marketing tool - and she’s not wrong. Kendall Jenner can get paid up to $125,000 and $300,000 a post. Craaaaazy.

The effortlessly attractive Sienna Miller is also an Insta newbie. She signed up in June and has already posted more than 20 times (including snaps with Mick Jagger and Cara Delevigne). Niiiice!

Kristen Bell was another star pretty late to the game. She joined last year sharing a very cute pic of her and hubby Dax Shepard. Who doesn’t love a bit of insta PDA?

Not to be confused with Kirsten Dunst who also graced us with her presence on the gram last March. She’s already a pro at the Insta game, posting some epic #caturday snaps and #BTS shots of her The Beguiled cast.

Divergent star Shailene Woodley was another late joiner. Her feed features a bit of art, poetry and some yoga. Good for some word-spiration or if you want to remind yourself how inflexible you are...

Get following friends! And cross your fingers more celebs jump on the Insta-wagon soon! In the mean time, we're pimping out our phones the only way we know how; with new accessories.
