Canadian brand The Ordinary isn't so ordinary. It has a huge cult following and people swear by its extraordinary skincare products. Since December, when they announced the release of their first foray into makeup, The Ordinary’s two foundations have amassed a 25,000-person waitlist. Yep, you read that right. These bad boys are the cronuts of foundations, the makeup equivalent of a Michelin-star restaurant.
So what makes them so special? Just like their skincare products, The Ordinary’s foundations, the Serum Foundation and the Coverage Foundation, are full of the good stuff - retinoid, marula oil, vitamin C and SPF - which means you won’t feel so guilty when you forget to wash it off after a night out. Ooops.
Both foundations come in 21 different shades and are light on the skin so you won't feel like you've got a thick layer of makeup caked on your face. Best of all, they’ll retail for $12.70 and $12.90 respectively so your bank account will love you.
The Ordinary ships to Australia and the foundations will be available from mid-April (like, now people!) so get online and become the 25,001 person in the queue! In the meantime, check out these other beauty hacks, that won't dint the back pocket...
