The bohemian treasure trove in the Blue Mountains!
Tucked away in the rolling hills of the idyllic Blue Mountains of NSW, is a whimsical boutique and fashion haven. Adorned with Indian furniture, re-purposed vintage textiles, bohemian treasures, bells, tassels, trinkets, and odes to Frida Kahlo. Welcome to Bella Boheme.
Taking inspiration from “freedom, happiness, and exotic faraway lands,” owners Emma and Dion bring a touch of Byron Bay magic to the Blue Mountains. It is not just the beauty of the boutique, or its carefully sourced pieces and embellishments, that make Bella Boheme stand out.
Closely entwined with the local community of the Mountains, Bella Boheme’s origins so close to nature are embedded in their ethic, and in their style. The natural beauty and ecologically focused lifestyle of the mountains inspire more than just their earthy style and free spirit....
Bella Boheme is passionate about ensuring their products are ethically produced, and made from environmentally friendly, sustainable goods. Emma tells us, “Transparency in our supply chain is so important. We want to be able to give our customers the knowledge, and the choice, in what they are truly buying, so they know where their clothes come from.”
We asked Emma to share her secret to creating a thriving business, with an ethical focus at its core. “We are not perfect. Noone is! We are working towards making it more of a priority, and incorporating these beliefs into our everyday, more and more. We love our ethical labels, and we want to share the good work they do with our customers.”

The Bella Boheme girl is… Happy, laid back, always looking for adventure, kind and generous.
This season, we’re lovin’… Rich velvets, lots of embroidery, military style jackets and emerald green.
Labels we love…
Every label we carry has been carefully chosen and we love each and every one of them for different reasons; they really are all our favourites!
For their ethics and sustainability beliefs, our top picks are Foundling and Auguste.
Foundling is timeless fashion with a conscience. They are truly fashion with heart. Ethically manufactured and with focus on workers rights and ending sweatshop labour, they say that for a product to be beautiful on the outside, it needs to be beautiful on the inside.
Auguste not only offers bespoke florals and feminine designs. They also have a strong focus on ethical production and sustainability, supply chain transparency, and a commitment to environmental practices. We love the ethos behind the brand – they are big believers in giving back and we love that.
Stevie Nicks and Frida Kahlo are our ultimate muses. Frida was such a great role model for women, strong and free spirited. We are continually inspired by Stevie’s boho hippie style, which has never gone out of fashion. They don’t follow the rules, they do their own thing, they think outside the square and they were fearless INNOVATORS.
Really though, we draw most of our inspiration from the beautiful women we have working around us in our community. Our network of wonderful working mums have created amazing businesses in their own right and help us with ours. Florists, photographers, and designers... we love them all!
Music on high rotation… We’re divided musically at the moment and there’s always a tussle for control of Spotify between the girls... The National, The Paper Kites, Paolo Nutini, Tash Sultana, Ziggy Alberts and Xavier Rudd are on high rotation at the moment. Fleetwood Mac is always a go to!
